Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to operate, maintain and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems across assigned stores. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and respond to after-hours calls with safety and compliance in mind.

Work in a fast-paced retail environment, coordinating with store managers and maintenance supervisors, updating EMS controls, and helping optimize energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• State licensures, if required.
• 3+ years’ experience in a related field.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong communication abilities.
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned region.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, electrical, lighting, energy management, and related systems for assigned stores.
• Plan and generate work orders, acquire tools and materials, and document entries in the maintenance system.
• Inspect facilities and propose improvements; troubleshoot refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and related components.
• Advise store managers and maintenance supervisors on repairs and upgrades.
• Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE; report unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and day-to-day organization of tasks.
• Communicate status of operations to stakeholders, and report issues promptly.
• Update refrigeration EMS controls and electrical wiring as needed.
• Assist supervisor with timely and cost-effective repairs of components and systems.
• Manage Refrigeration/HVAC spend for assigned stores and optimize repair methods.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend emergency calls.
