Job summary

Performance Food Group in Minnesota seeks an experienced Refrigeration Manager to own the safe, reliable operation of ammonia, CO2, and halocarbon systems. You will lead the refrigeration and maintenance team, set preventive maintenance standards, manage contractors and capital projects, and serve as technical authority and emergency lead for refrigeration.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret general business and technical documents.
• Ability to work on call for refrigeration emergencies, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe operation and maintenance of industrial ammonia systems (R-717).
• Lead OSHA PSM and EPA RMP activities, including procedures and audits.
• Direct leak response, emergency shutdowns, and coordination with local services.
• Operate CO2 systems (R-744) and ensure high-pressure safety and ventilation.
• Manage halocarbon systems and plan transition to lower-GWP refrigerants.
• Lead rooftop and building HVAC, temperature control, and energy performance.
• Build preventive/predictive maintenance programs in CMMS and lead root-cause analysis.
• Hire, train, and develop refrigeration technicians and maintenance staff.
