Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Manager to oversee the safe and compliant operation of ammonia, CO2, and halocarbon systems across our Kentucky/Northern facility. You will lead the refrigeration and maintenance team, drive preventive maintenance, and coordinate contractors to ensure uptime and food safety.

The role focuses on strong safety culture, root-cause analysis, and leading capital projects while maintaining energy efficiency and reliable operations 24/7.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Ability to manage maintenance budgets and coordinate capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the safe, reliable operation of refrigeration and HVAC systems in the facility.
• Lead refrigeration and maintenance team; set preventive maintenance standards.
• Direct leak detection, emergency response, and contractor coordination.
• Ensure EPA/OSHA compliance and process safety management.
• Budgeting for refrigeration, energy efficiency initiatives, and upgrades.
