Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Refrigeration Supervisor to lead the ammonia refrigeration operation at a Minnesota facility. You will oversee maintenance, safety, reliability, and compliance with PSM/RMP requirements while coordinating with teams to ensure product quality.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and the ability to manage preventive maintenance and on-call coverage. This is a full-time on-site position supporting scalable food manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and prior supervisory experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, HVAC, boiler, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated control systems.
• Working knowledge of PSM, OSHA, EPA, USDA, and food manufacturing safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with PSM, RMP, EPA regulations, and safety/environmental requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, and work orders to maximize reliability.
