Job summary

Polar King International, Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Engineering Manager to lead the PKI Engineering Team in launching new products and optimizing designs for outdoor walk-in freezers and coolers. The role reports to the Director of Manufacturing and Engineering and requires 10+ years in the U.S.

Polar King International, Inc. is the industry’s #1 manufacturer of outdoor fiberglass walk-in freezers and walk-in coolers. Our walk-in refrigerators are made of fiberglass and designed specifically for outdoor use. Polar King has an immediate opening for a Refrigeration Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

As an integral part of the product development team, the Refrigeration Engineering Manager will lead the PKI Engineering Team in the launch of new products, system designs, cost reductions, quality improvement opportunities, and R&D. The candidate will work closely with and will be an integral part of the Operations and Service Teams reporting to the Director of Manufacturing and Engineering.

Requirements:

Applicants must have:

• The candidate must have Refrigeration System Engineering Leadership experience within the U.S. Walk-In Industry, (Preferably 10+ years specific to the Walk-In or Refrigeration System industry.)
• The candidate must possess strong knowledge of U.S. Refrigeration system products, components and manufacturers.
• The candidate must have a strong, related electrical background for commercial refrigeration systems and components.
• The candidate must be able to conduct research independently, be prepared to continually learn and adapt to new practices and regulations.
• The candidate must possess excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products and basic CAD skills in AutoCAD.

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Engineering is strongly preferred; however, relevant Refrigeration/Walk-In experience may be substituted for degree preference.

Minimum of 10+ years in the Walk-In and related Refrigeration Industries is required.
