Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to lead the design of refrigeration systems for cold storage, food distribution, and processing facilities. You will review diagrams, perform load calculations, and select equipment while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients and contractors. The ideal candidate has a B.S.

in Engineering, 8+ years in the field, and strong knowledge of piping, controls, and thermodynamics. PE license preferred; EIT a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years of industrial refrigeration engineering and design experience.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, thermodynamics, piping, controls, and industry codes.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with engineering software and Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of industrial refrigeration systems for cold storage, food distribution, and food processing facilities.
• Develop and review refrigeration flow diagrams, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform refrigeration load calculations and equipment sizing analyses.
• Select refrigeration equipment, piping, valves, and controls for complex projects.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and design oversight to engineers and designers.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and project teams throughout project execution.
