Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.; some college or technical education preferred.
• Completion of apprentice refrigeration training normally acquired in four years.
• Experience in a journeyman refrigeration position normally acquired within five years.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations relating to electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical diagnostics and consultation for refrigeration, HVAC, and lighting control systems.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration computer components for installation problems.
• Program and monitor refrigeration and HVAC computer control systems.
• Develop testing procedures and verify system efficiencies.
• Assist in designing advanced refrigeration systems meeting regulatory goals.
