Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Colonial Heights, VA to assemble refrigeration cases and related sub-assemblies from detailed work orders, using hand and power tools.

You will interpret blueprints, read measurements, and work with a production team on a first shift, onsite in a clean, safety-conscious facility. This contract-to-hire role offers stable daytime hours and growth potential within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in a light industrial/assembly setting.
• Ability to read and interpret A orders, work orders, and simple blueprints.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read measurements with rulers, tapes, and squares.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and fastening components.
• Ability to work as part of a production team and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble refrigeration cases and sub-assemblies per work orders.
• Identify parts and ensure correct placement on the product.
• Use hand and power tools to build units to specification.
• Follow safety, quality, and production procedures in a light industrial setting.
• Support general labor and production tasks to meet daily output.
