Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a Carrier Engagement Logistics Coordinator I to source, vet, and onboard temperature-controlled carriers across a national network. You will negotiate rates, participate in RFPs, and manage carrier performance using core metrics to optimize spend and ensure reliability.

You’ll lead regional meetings, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with RMIS and other qualification tech. This role offers growth in a fast-paced cold chain environment in Camden, NJ.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with refrigerated transportation a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment and meet tight timelines.
• Ability to coordinate with contracted trucking dispatchers and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Source, vet, and contract temperature-controlled motor carriers.
• Negotiate spot rates, contract lane pricing.
• Participate in regular reefer RFP bids and mini-bids.
• Maintain a qualified backup carrier pipeline to mitigate capacity issues.
• Onboard refrigerated carrier partners utilizing RMIS or other systems.
• Monitor carrier performance with OTP, OTD, OTABIT, tender acceptance, and compliance.
• Lead weekly regional touch-base meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Resolve real-time transit exceptions and scheduling delays.
• Use TMS to build routing guides and analyze lane costs.
