Job summary

Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a Refractive Surgery Scheduler (Administrative) to educate, counsel and schedule patients for laser vision correction and other refractive surgeries. The role involves gathering pre-operative information and communicating risks/benefits, while sharing medical records with the team.

This 3/4 time position emphasizes excellent customer service, confidentiality, and adaptability to changing procedures, with a schedule Mon-Thu 8–5 and Fri 8–1.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service and office skills.
• Proficient with telephone, keyboarding and filing; mid-level computer knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Educate, counsel and schedule patients for laser vision correction and other refractive surgeries.
• Gather pre-operative information from referring doctors and communicate risks/benefits to patients.
• Share pertinent medical records with the medical/surgical team.
