Responsibilities

• Schedules surgeries and coordinates changes with priority, emergencies, and patient needs.
• Maintains patient demographics, medical history, insurance information.
• Prepares surgery schedule for review by clinicians.
• Educates patients on procedures and preoperative prep.
• Handles payment collection.
• Performs IOL measurements and calculations.
• Documents in EMR accurately and identifies correct surgery site.
• Works as a work-up technician and performs ophthalmic tests as needed.
