Role Description

The Refractive Surgery Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position located in Hurst, TX. This role coordinates all aspects of refractive surgery patient flow, including scheduling consultations and procedures, confirming appointments, and managing pre- and post-operative visits. The coordinator educates patients about refractive surgery options, sets expectations, and reviews pre-operative instructions and post-operative care requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing charts, verifying insurance as applicable, processing payments or financing arrangements, and maintaining accurate documentation within practice systems. The coordinator works closely with surgeons, technicians, and front office staff to ensure a smooth surgical experience, supports patient communication via phone and email, and assists with maintaining high standards of patient service and clinic efficiency.

• Previous experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or a surgical specialty practice is preferred; experience in refractive surgery coordination or similar roles is a plus.
