Job summary

Cargill in Sioux City, IA is hiring a Refinery Technician to support safe, efficient refinery operations. You will operate and monitor chemical processes, perform quality checks, handle materials, and assist with preventative maintenance to ensure reliable production and wastewater systems.

The role requires working with industrial equipment, following procedures, and adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a production or industrial environment.
• Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts or skid-steers.
• Experience with boiler operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical, mechanical, or thermal processes.
• Collect samples, run analytical tests, and perform quality checks.
• Load and unload chemicals into tank trucks and railcars, and operate mobile equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot routine equipment issues.
• Follow safety, regulatory, and permitting requirements and maintain documentation.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or variable shifts with advance notice.
• Inspect equipment, buildings, and grounds and contribute to continuous improvement.
