Job summary

Cargill Batavia, NY is seeking a Mining Utility Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on belts, ventilation, and mine equipment. You will service mobile support gear, document tasks in CMMS, and follow safety policies in a demanding mining setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and readiness to work overtime and in underground conditions. Training on SAP/CMMS is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
• Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with PPE.
• Ability to work underground in a mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance on belts, ventilation infrastructure, and mine shafts/hoists.
• Service and operate mobile support equipment including forklifts, trucks, tractors, and skid-steers.
• Execute routine tasks to ensure asset reliability and safety; document work in CMMS.
• Operate standard maintenance tools and adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements.
