Job summary
IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is assisting our client in Martinez, California to identify a hands-on Process Engineer for refinery operations.
You will support operations, drive continuous improvement, and work with maintenance and engineering teams to enhance safety, reliability, and production efficiency. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent STEM degree with refinery experience.
- 3+ years of refinery process engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of refinery process operations and process optimization.
- Knowledge of process safety principles and Management of Change (MOC).
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for refinery process units.
- Collaborate with Operations to improve safety and reliability.
- Monitor and optimize unit performance for efficiency.
- Troubleshoot process issues and provide engineering solutions.
- Support turnarounds, maintenance, startups and shutdowns.
- Evaluate modifications via the MOC process.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
