Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of process engineering experience in refining or chemicals.
• Chemical Engineering degree required.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Mentoring and development of other engineers.
• Monitoring/evaluating unit performance and maintaining effective monitoring reports.
• Troubleshooting operational and process quality problems.
• Developing solutions for unit optimization.
• Generating ideas and developing process design improvement projects for strategic and real business improvement.
• Providing technical content for operating procedures.
• Providing detailed process specifications and maintaining P&ID's and equipment data sheets.
• Completing process hazard analysis and PSM requirements, including action items.
• Ensuring full Management of Change (MOC) compliance in all activities.
• Developing and monitoring key performance metrics for assigned units.
• Providing guidance to operations consistent with environmental and operational requirements.
• Maintaining capital and operating expense budget.
• Working with others in the refinery; must be able to climb ladders and wear PPE.
• Performing internal operating vessel inspections.
• Utilizing DCS and advanced process control to optimize operating units.
