Job summary

ASR Group in Crockett, CA is hiring an Assistant Process Department Manager to plan, coordinate and control raw sugar and processing operations for the refinery. Qualifications

• 6+ years leading high-speed packaging operations.
• Experience in a unionized environment.
• CPG or Food manufacturing background.
• Supervising a 75+ employee team.
• Proven continuous improvement experience.
• Strong HSSE practices and quality systems knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Act as a safety leader for the team and ensure protocols are followed.
• Review daily/weekly operations with Process Team Managers to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with Logistics to meet customer demand and ensure order fulfillment.
• Guide daily activities of Managers and Supervisors based on business needs.
• Develop plans to mitigate production issues affecting delivery and quality.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning schedules with cost and safety in mind.
• Lead continuous improvement to balance short- and long-term goals.
• Plan long-range departmental needs and capital project solutions.
• Deliver training and cost-reduction programs within the department.
• Work with Process leadership to improve unit efficiencies and accountability.
• Utilize lab data and process analytics to troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on special projects to achieve plant goals.
