Job summary

BIG WEST NORTH SALT LAKE in North Salt Lake, UT is seeking a Process Engineer to troubleshoot refinery operations and optimize unit economics while maintaining environmental and safety standards. You will help maximize on-unit stream time and ensure safe, compliant operation.

Responsibilities include HazOps participation, SOP maintenance, start-ups and shut downs, incident investigations, and driving unit optimization across mass balances, P&IDs, and reporting.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in process engineering or refining
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed and proactive work style

Responsibilities

• Monitor unit performance and troubleshoot operational issues
• Participate in start-ups, shutdowns and TAR planning
• Prepare and submit monthly unit incident logs and reports
• Support SOP maintenance and P&IDs improvements
• Lead or participate in HazOps and incident investigations
• Develop and implement unit optimization projects
