Qualifications

• BS in chemical engineering from a four-year college or university.
• 3–6 years related experience in refining, chemical or related industry.
• Ability to work in a team environment or lead where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations support, technical guidance and troubleshooting for refinery processing units and operating systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot process limitations/problems and lead in resolution.
• Assist in unit or system start up, shutdown and preparations for equipment maintenance.
• Reduce cost of existing processes through energy conservation and unit optimization.
• Identify needed design or operational changes to maintain process effectiveness and advise management of changes.
• Perform PSM functions including HAZOP participation, MOC preparation and review.
