Job summary

Marathon Petroleum’s Galveston Bay Refinery seeks a Process Controls Technician to design, implement and maintain advanced control strategies across DCS/PLC platforms, ensuring safe and efficient operations in Texas City.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks, lead minor projects, develop operator graphics, and provide on-call support. A strong background in Honeywell Experion, DeltaV, and Rockwell PLCs is preferred; Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Electrical or Instrument Technology or High School Diploma/GED with five years relevant experience.
• Two years or more of experience with industrial control systems.
• Ability to maintain on-call status and respond to emergencies during off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and maintains process control strategies to optimize unit performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoots control systems issues including hardware, software, and network components.
• Collaborates with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges and maintain operator relationships.
