Job summary

ESP Enterprises Inc. is seeking a senior process control engineer to develop and maintain refinery control systems under limited supervision.

You will select, design, procure, install, develop, commission, and maintain control solutions to ensure accurate, safe, and reliable operations. The role requires a bachelor's in engineering, 6+ years of experience, familiarity with Honeywell TDC-3000 and Experion, field instrumentation, and PLC troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 6+ years of experience in process control engineering.
  • Fluent in English, oral and written required.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering and maintenance of control and applications, optimizing variables to meet SH&E objectives.
  • Daily consultations with Planning and Operations to optimize targets.
  • Oversight of Controls change (MOC) implementations to support safe operations.
  • Implement and maintain Controls applications for process control (CPM, Trace, Dynamo, PI).
  • Provide consultation to projects involving process control applications and upgrades.
  • Develop HMIs for operator interaction per corporate standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in automation and testing.
  • Engage with team to read loop diagrams and electrical drawings for changes.
