Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Process Controls Professional to support control systems for compression, processing, and pipeline assets in the East. You will provide technical stewardship for SCADA, PLCs, and HMI systems, implementing control improvements and supporting projects in line with MPLX standards to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to apply control strategies and automation technologies, while aligning

Qualifications

Associate's degree or vocational qualifications in related field required.
Seven (7) years of related experience required.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

Develops skills to program, support, and troubleshoot local control logic and HMI displays for DCS, SCADA, and RTU-based systems.
Understands cause and effects and uses control narratives and FAT/SAT documentation.
Troubleshoots basic alarms with other teams and assists in resolution.
Understands local operations processes and P&IDs and assists troubleshooting issues.
Performs maintenance controls projects and day-to-day support with mentoring.
Adheres to MPLX and industry standards and participates in safety processes.
