Job summary

Par Pacific, Tacoma refinery leader, seeks a Logistics Superintendent to direct day-to-day refinery operations, supervise the on-shift team, and drive safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with HR on Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, and Labor Relations for Operations personnel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical) preferred.
• 7 years oil refining operations preferred.
• Front-line supervisory experience desired.
• Experience in labor relations with a union workforce is desired.
• Must communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day refinery operations and supervise on-shift operations team to meet safety, environmental, production, quality and reliability goals.
• Lead talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and labor relations within Operations (Union/ CBA).
• Ensure refinery movements and blending program meet established goals and communicate deviations.
• Drive optimization improvements and coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Marketing and Safety.
• Act as incident commander during emergencies and ensure compliance with manuals and inspections.
