Job summary

Valero Energy in Memphis is seeking a Superintendent Operations to oversee refinery activities, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations. This role requires extensive experience in refinery operations and on-site leadership to coordinate daily and long-term work across multiple departments.

The position emphasizes budgeting, safety training, and adherence to PSM/HAZOP guidelines, with a focus on driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement at the Memphis refinery.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Memphis Refinery, required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 10 years of refinery operations experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations and directs daily and long range operation activities, to include reviewing/writing/prioritizing of daily and permanent work orders.
• Maintain inventories and monitor usage of operating supplies, consumable safety supplies and miscellaneous supplies.
• Cooperate with all refinery departments to meet operational objectives and coordinate daily maintenance and logs.
• Participate in managing and implementing PSM, MOCA, and HAZOP guidelines and procedures.
• Develop and provide necessary operator training in operations and safety with the Training and Safety Departments.
