Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation in Sinclair, WY seeks a Metal Trades Tech to perform skilled pipefitting, boilermaker, welding, fabrication, and maintenance on refinery equipment and piping systems.

Responsibilities include installation, repair, modification, inspection, and adherence to ASME/API codes, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Requires 5 years in heavy industrial environments and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in industrial maintenance, refinery, petrochemical, mining, power generation, or heavy industrial environments preferred.
• Journeyman-level pipefitting, boilermaker, welding, or related industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in an industrial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates, installs, repairs, and maintains refinery piping systems, valves, flanges, supports, and associated equipment.
• Performs welding using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and oxy-acetylene processes.
• Inspects and maintains pressure vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, tanks, and structural steel.
• Reads blueprints, P&IDs, and welding procedures to guide field work.
• Supports maintenance turnarounds, outages, and capital projects.
• Completes inspection documentation and maintains maintenance records.
• Adheres to safety, environmental, and permit requirements.
