Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation is seeking a Machinist / Pump Mechanic in Sinclair, WY to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and maintain pumps, rotating equipment, and associated mechanical systems throughout the refinery. You will apply advanced mechanical and machining skills to support safe, reliable refining operations, read blueprints, perform precision measurements, and document maintenance in CMMS.

Qualifications

• Three years of industrial machinist, pump mechanic, or rotating equipment maintenance experience.
• Refining, petrochemical, power generation, mining, pipeline, or heavy industrial settings experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Machinist Apprenticeship/Journeyman certs preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and install centrifugal, positive displacement, and specialty pumps and compressors.
• Perform precision machining with lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders.
• Inspect shafts, bearings, impellers, seals, and rotating components.
• Align equipment using dial indicators and laser alignment systems.
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment.
• Read drawings and manuals and document activities in CMMS.
