Job summary

HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY seeks an E&I Technician responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of refinery process control, instrumentation and electrical systems.

The role emphasizes experience with electrical or instrumentation in refinery or related industries, along with a high school diploma or GED and flexibility to work in an outdoor refinery environment. Safety and compliance are central to daily work.

Qualifications

• Preference given to candidates with experience in electrical or instrumentation in a refinery, chemical plant, electric utility or related equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, calibrate and repair refinery electrical equipment and components.
• Disconnect and connect electrical power to refinery equipment.
• Test and maintain electrical safety systems and instrument safety systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical circuits and process control valves.
• Install, calibrate and repair refinery instruments (electronic, pneumatic, analog and digital).
• Adhere to safety procedures and training requirements per OSHA and NEC.
• Prepare and maintain repair documentation and testing records.
• Test, program, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers.
• Utilize MS Office and Maximo for work orders and maintenance.
• Follow through on commitments.
