HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking a Metal Trades Tech responsible for skilled pipefitting, boilermaker work, welding, fabrication, and maintenance on refinery equipment and piping systems.

The role involves installation, repair, modification, and inspection of piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and related refinery equipment, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Five years plus experience in industrial maintenance, refinery, petrochemical, mining, or heavy industrial environments.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs, welding procedures, drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of industrial piping systems, welding techniques, and fabrication practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates, installs, repairs, and maintains refinery piping systems, valves, flanges, supports, and related equipment.
• Performs welding with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and oxy-acetylene cutting processes as required.
• Repairs and maintains pressure vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, towers, furnaces, tanks, and structural steel.
• Reads blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs, welding procedures, drawings, and specifications.
• Lays out, measures, cuts, fits, aligns, and assembles piping and structural components.
