Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support the Chalmette refinery. This contract role focuses on planning, scheduling, backlog management, and work package development to improve maintenance execution efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in maintenance planning within refinery/industrial settings and will collaborate with maintenance supervisors, reliability teams, and operations to ensure work is properly scoped and ready for execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance planning experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience in refinery/chemical plants is preferred.
• TWIC is required for access to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed maintenance work plans for routine and preventive maintenance.
• Create work packages with labor, materials, permits, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Manage and optimize backlog to ensure executable work.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering teams.
• Identify resources, materials, tools, and contractor support.
• Support scheduling for weekly and outage planning.
• Review equipment history to improve planning accuracy.
• Document labor estimates, durations, and material needs in CMMS.
• Participate in planning meetings and readiness reviews.
• Drive continuous improvements in work management and schedule compliance.
• Promote refinery safety policies and environmental standards.
