Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support maintenance, capital projects, and refinery turnarounds in Tulsa, OK. You will operate a range of heavy equipment safely while upholding safety, environmental, and productivity standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of industrial equipment experience, read site plans, and can pass drug, background, and fitness evaluations. We offer competitive pay, overtime, and strong training in a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years minimum of heavy equipment operating experience in industrial/refinery environments.
• Ability to safely operate multiple heavy equipment types.
• Ability to read site plans, work packages, and safety procedures.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening, background check, and physical capability evaluation.
• Client site-specific training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, front-end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and more.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling.
• Load, transport, and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and document equipment usage.
• Work safely around refinery equipment and utilities.
• Assist with refinery maintenance projects, outages, and emergencies.
• Follow all safety requirements and participate in JSAs and site training.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and communicate with supervisors.
