Job summary

Ellenco Estágios e Treinamentos is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for refinery EPC projects in the USA. You will support large-scale downstream developments, covering the full project lifecycle with emphasis on mechanical equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with rotating and static equipment, adherence to API/ASME/ANSI standards, and independent delivery of engineering deliverables and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in refinery, petrochemical, or downstream EPC projects.
• Strong experience with rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines) and static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers).
• Familiarity with API, ASME, and ANSI codes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical engineering support across FEED, detailed design, procurement, and construction phases.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables including equipment specs, datasheets, and SDRLs.
• Lead and perform Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and prepare detailed evaluation reports.
• Review and approve vendor documentation (VCDs).
• Ensure all deliverables comply with project specs, P&IDs, refinery standards, and safety requirements.
• Interface with process, piping, civil/structural, EICT, and construction teams to resolve issues.
• Liaise with clients, licensors, and regulatory authorities to secure design approvals.
• Support subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely document submission.
