Job summary

Eichleay, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the United States to drive projects from concept through startup. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical direction across piping, fixed equipment and rotating equipment.

The position offers remote work with occasional travel and a hybrid option near Ferndale, WA. Expect responsibilities spanning design, calculations, and vendor coordination, with a strong emphasis on safety

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety awareness and lead health, safety and environmental initiatives.
• Lead mechanical engineers for refinery and industrial clients, overseeing scope, design, quality reviews and construction support.
• Ensure designs meet codes and standards (ASME, API, NBIC) for static and rotating equipment.
• Perform and review code calculations for ASME B31.1/B31.3 and related requirements.
• Prepare mechanical equipment descriptions, sizing calculations and data sheets.
• Coordinate vendor quotes, bids and technical evaluations for equipment and piping.
• Review drawings and provide technical direction for piping isometrics and layouts.
• Select welding procedures, NDE, coatings and materials of construction.
• Prepare construction packages and coordinate with other disciplines.
