Job summary

Eichleay seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical deliverables for refinery and industrial clients, mentoring engineers and coordinating with clients, vendors, and construction teams from concept through startup.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical engineering, BS/MS, and strong knowledge of ASME, API, NBIC codes, and process piping. Remote work is possible with local Ferndale, WA hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years’ progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering for refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, or other industrial facilities.
• Experience leading engineering deliverables and providing technical direction.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers for refinery and industrial clients, including scope development, design execution, quality review, and construction support.
• Ensure all mechanical designs meet applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, NBIC, etc.).
• Perform code calculations for ASME B31.1/B31.3, BPVC Sec I/ VIII; prepare equipment descriptions, data sheets, and piping specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and construction personnel; provide technical direction during design reviews and field walkdowns.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain strong cross-discipline collaboration.
• Lead technical bid evaluations and review vendor drawings for technical accuracy.
