Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indiana is seeking a Refill Pharmacy Technician II to support providers and patients by processing prescription refill requests with accuracy and in compliance with Indiana regulations. This role works closely with pharmacists, clinical staff, and other pharmacy teammates.

Set schedule with no nights or holidays; after training, partial remote work may be available based on performance and metrics.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Active Pharmacy National Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to review and manage prescription refill requests.
• Analyze refill requests for accuracy and completeness prior to pharmacist review.
• Enter and maintain prescription and refill information in the pharmacy system.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and pharmacies to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure all refill activities comply with state regulations, policies, and patient safety standards.
• Prioritize workload to meet volume demands with high accuracy.
• Support pharmacists and other team members in daily operations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA standards in all communications.
