Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Active Pharmacy National Certification required after one year of hire.
• Ability to work under pharmacist supervision and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with providers and clinical staff to review, process, and manage prescription refill requests.
• Analyze refill requests for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness prior to pharmacist review.
• Enter and maintain prescription and refill information accurately in the pharmacy system.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and pharmacies to clarify refill requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure all refill activities comply with state regulations, organizational policies, and patient safety standards.
• Prioritize workload effectively to meet volume demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Support pharmacists and other pharmacy team members in daily operations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards in all communications and documentation.
