Job description

SourceX licenses business data directly from companies for AI training and evaluation. We work with businesses of all sizes to assess, structure, and transact their operational data — CRM records, support tickets, documents, engineering histories, collaboration messages, and more — connecting them with acquisition partners who use it to build better AI systems. We operate our own supplier portal, agreement infrastructure, and pipeline, and we're growing the team that runs it.

The Role

We’re looking for a Referral Partnerships Manager to build and grow a portfolio of active, productive referral partners. You’ll own the partner relationship end to end, from recruitment and onboarding through to qualified introductions and reward coordination, while our licensing team owns supplier evaluation and transaction execution. This is a partnerships and operations role. You’ll work alongside AI assistants that draft partner communication and surface next actions, but every reply, approval, and decision is yours. You keep partners active, referrals clean, and attribution accurate.

What You'll Own
  • Partner recruitment and qualification. Identify advisors, investor portfolios, founder communities, and IT and professional-service networks with relevant company relationships. Assess reach and fit, run partnership conversations, review registrations in the approval queue, and move qualified applicants through approval, the partner agreement, and onboarding.
  • Onboarding and education. Explain the supplier profile, useful data categories, the qualification process and the approved reward terms. Teach partners the first-come rule, their duty to disclose potential rewards, who counts as an authorized contact, and why credentials, exports or customer samples never belong in an introduction.
  • Activation and account plans. Agree practical next actions with each partner: founder introductions, portfolio engagement, newsletters or community activity. Supply approved materials, track activity in the CRM, and follow up until the relationship produces qualified opportunities.
  • Referral quality and handoff. Review company fit, contact authority, and submission completeness. Resolve missing information, work duplicate and existing-application outcomes with the licensing team, and make sure every handoff reaches the licensing pipeline with referral and partner identifiers intact.
  • Partner communication. Give timely, stage-level progress updates, review assistant-drafted replies before they go out, and resolve partner questions. Check that portal notifications and automated partner journeys fire correctly and read well, and flag issues to the platform team.
  • Attribution and reward administration. Track the 90-day attribution window, existing-relationship exclusions, the cumulative cap, and approved exceptions. Reconcile reward eligibility, approval, reversal, and payment status with finance, and confirm partner payment and tax details are complete before any reward is released.
  • Conversion and partner growth. Follow referred companies through qualification, evaluation, and closing. Reactivate promising inactive partners, expand productive relationships and feed decline reasons back into partner coaching.
  • Reporting and process improvement. Keep applications, conversations, referral records, and CRM tasks current. Report on active partners, qualified referrals, conversion, deal outcomes, and outstanding rewards, including the share of licensing deals that come from referrals.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in B2B partnerships, channel sales, referral programs, business development or account management, with evidence of activating relationships and producing commercial outcomes
  • Confident working with founders, executives, advisors, investors, and business-network operators; you explain the opportunity clearly, keep claims honest, and secure a concrete next step
  • Ability to screen referrals against company, ownership, geography and dataset criteria, and coach partners toward better-fit introductions
  • Strong operational discipline across partner portals, CRM tools (Attio or similar) and spreadsheets; you track referral IDs, timestamps and ownership without losing attribution
  • Comfortable explaining reward calculations, attribution periods, caps, exclusions, reversals and payment conditions; you never promise a payment that hasn’t met every condition
  • Comfortable working with AI assistants: reviewing, correcting and approving drafts rather than forwarding them
  • Excellent written English, consistent follow-through, and sound judgment with confidential information
Nice to Have
  • Experience creating partner enablement materials and running measurable activation campaigns
  • Experience administering versioned program terms
Compensation and Perks
  • Base: $3,000–$10,000/month depending on experience
  • Bonuses: performance-based, tied to deals reaching closing and payment milestones, execution quality, accurate documentation, and timely follow-up all count toward the assessment
