Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 18 months experience in a medical office setting with significant MD interaction.
• Proficiency in prior authorization/certification/referral processes.
• Must pass EPIC competency for Registration at completion of Epic Clerical Training class.

Responsibilities

• Achieve exceptional experience for providers and referring providers offices by using CARES, AIDET and EPE tools.
• Ensures all communications with providers and patients occurs in a timely manner.
• Schedules referrals and arranges provider-to-provider communication as needed.
• Resolves concerns and requests using available resources and appropriate escalations.
• Coordinates with departments to gain access for referrals.
• Follows up with referring providers to update on referral status.
• Enters all faxed referrals into EHR.
• Guides referring offices through Prior Authorization requirements.
