Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Socorro, NM seeks a Referral Coordinator to manage referrals and prior authorizations, ensuring timely scheduling and strong provider communication. You will work across departments to coordinate access, document processes, and maintain high levels of service for referring offices and patients.

The role requires EPIC competency, healthcare terminology knowledge, and robust organizational skills to handle multiple tasks under pressure in a busy environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18+ months experience in a medical office with MD interaction.
• Proficiency in prior authorization/certification/referral processes.
• EPIC Registration competency after Epic Clerical Training.
• Short-term training in Medical Terminology.
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Pass annual competency exam for all areas of responsibility.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; excellent customer service.
• Ability to function under pressure with professionalism.

Mansioni

• Provide exceptional experience for providers and referring offices using CARES, AIDET and EPE tools.
• Ensure all communications with providers and patients are timely.
• Schedule referrals and coordinate provider-to-provider communication as needed.
• Resolve concerns and requests using available resources and escalation when needed.
• Coordinate with program departments to gain access for referrals.
• Follow up with referring providers about referral status.
• Maintain knowledge of program operations and referral processes for questions.
• Work with Business Development to gather feedback from referring offices.
