Job summary

Summit Orthopaedics, LLP in Lake Oswego, Oregon is seeking a Referral Coordinator to support patient access in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic. This full-time position offers 8:00am–4:30pm hours, pay in the $18–$24/hour range, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and paid holidays.

You will manage referral queues, register patients in the EMR, guide them through intake, and coordinate with providers and staff to ensure timely care delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical clinic setting.
• Experience with medical office insurance authorizations preferred.
• Orthopedic office experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Experience registering patients and working in an EMR system preferred.
• Experience with AthenaOne is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work queue management of referral activity to ensure timely processing.
• Register new patients into the EMR system and schedule appointments.
• Educate patients on the referral process and guide them through intake.
• Process incoming correspondence and respond to calls, emails, tasks, and faxes.
• Confirm active insurance with patients prior to scheduling.
• Provide general administrative support to maintain clinic workflow.
