Job summary

NORTHERN COUNTIES HEALTH CARE INC is seeking a Referral Coordinator to ensure timely access to specialty care by coordinating, processing, tracking, and following up on patient referrals in a high-volume clinic.

The role may also provide medical reception coverage as needed, working with patients, clinical staff, insurers, and providers to support referral completion while maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in medical office or healthcare administration preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Processes incoming and outgoing referrals accurately and within established timeframes.
• Reviews referral requests for completeness and identifies missing information.
• Maintains accurate referral information in the electronic health record and tracks progress.
