Job summary

SENTA Partners is seeking a Referral Coordinator to manage patient referrals, coordinate with providers and insurers, and schedule visits for allergy and immunology care.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication in a medical setting, with full-time hours Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and HIPAA compliance. Assist in improving referral workflows and documentation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient referrals, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies to obtain necessary referral information.
• Schedule appointments for referred patients and provide necessary information.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all referrals and related documentation.
• Follow up with patients and providers to ensure completion of the referral process.
• Address and resolve issues related to referrals.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless care.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and families.
• Monitor and report referral activity and performance metrics to management.
• Assist in developing referral policies and procedures.
