Kinwell Health in Washington is seeking a Referral Coordinator to manage patient referrals to specialists and external providers. This on-site role supports care continuity, communicates with patients, and coordinates between the clinic and external facilities across North Country Homes in Spokane, Wenatchee, Spokane Valley, Redmond, or Ballard in Seattle.

You will verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations, document referral activity in the EMR (Epic/Cerner), and maintain accurate records

Qualifikationen

• Two years' experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in referral coordination or medical scheduling.
• Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment.
• Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner) and in insurance verification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and providers.

Aufgaben

• Process, coordinate, prioritize, and follow up on patient referrals for timely transitions of care.
• Identify issues in the referral process and implement solutions.
• Schedule appointments with specialists based on patient needs and insurance requirements.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations when needed.
• Document referral-related information in the EMR system (Epic/Cerner) and maintain records.
