Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a team-oriented professional to coordinate referrals, testing, and scheduling across multiple departments. You will guide patients through preauthorization processes and ensure timely communication between patients, providers, and staff.

Ideal candidates have medical office/registration experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and strong MS Office skills. This role emphasizes accurate data handling, patient empathy, and collaborative care across Summa Health teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-high school coursework in healthcare preferred.
• One year of experience in a Medical Office/Registration/Billing setting, including experience with insurance payers or registration duties.
• Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate with patients, peers, and providers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate referrals, testing, scheduling, and preauthorization across providers and departments.
• Support and inform patients and staff about status and processes of referrals and appointments.
