Job summary

The Borough is seeking a licensed librarian to provide reference and technology assistance to library patrons. The role requires a Master’s degree in Library Science and experience with library automation systems.

Responsibilities include helping patrons at the Reference desk, guiding them in using library resources and computer equipment. A valid driver's license and insurance documentation may be required. This is an on-site position supporting public access to library services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience with personal computers and automated library systems.
• Experience as a professional librarian preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide public assistance at the Reference desk and elsewhere as required.
• Instruct and assist patrons in the use of library resources.
• Assist patrons with use of computer and other reference equipment.
