Job summary

Unknown Borough Library is seeking a Reference Librarian to provide reference and information services to patrons of all ages. The role includes helping patrons locate materials, guiding them to digital resources, and assisting with public computer workstations.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Library Science, experience with library automation systems, and strong communication skills. Some positions may require a valid driver's license and insurance compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience with personal computers and automated library systems.
• Professional librarian experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and insurability may be required by some Borough programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide public assistance at the Reference desk and other areas as needed.
• Instruct patrons in using library resources and resources available.
• Assist patrons with computer and reference equipment usage.
