In support of Dartmouth Libraries work to spark discovery, the Reference and Administration Specialist supports inquiry about and access to special collections and archival materials. Under the supervision of the Special Collections Librarian for Teaching and Scholarly Engagement, provides both on-site and remote reference services relating to special collections materials, monitors the Special Collections Reading Room, assists users with the handling of materials, and provides administrative support for operations of Rauner Special Collections Library.
This is a hybrid work location eligible position.

Responsible for managing incoming e-mail reference questions including responding directly or forwarding to other staff members for response.

Manages and coordinates the day-to-day administrative operations of Rauner Special Collections Library and independently handles a variety of questions, some of which are confidential or sensitive in nature.

Provides reference service and referrals as appropriate in the Special Collections reading room on a regular basis to a diverse community of users, with a primary focus on the research and instructional needs of the Dartmouth community.
