The Collections Strategist and Acquisitions Manager is pivotal to the academic mission of this R-1 institution with a library collections budget exceeding $12 million. This position is both strategic and operational, collaborating with department leadership to help shape the future of the team, its systems, and workflows to meet the ever-changing challenges and opportunities of a dynamic scholarly landscape. They also play an essential role in advising and assisting library colleagues and other key stakeholders on strategic, sustainable, and cost-efficient approaches to acquiring library resources for the institutions' research and teaching mission. By staying current with emerging trends, the Collections Strategist and Acquisitions Manager will lead Dartmouth Libraries' goal to enhance discovery and access to world-class research collections and content across evolving platforms. This portfolio includes leading and supervising their team, strategizing and implementing library-wide collections licensing and lifecycle for all scholarly formats, contributing to open and transformative access priorities, and applying data-informed decision-making for collections building. This is a hybrid-eligible work location position.
