Job summary

Vincennes University (VU) is seeking a Pathway Home Program Manager (Full-Time, Grant-funded) to deliver reentry and workforce development services across multiple counties in Region 8. You will help job seekers create IDPs, provide trauma-informed support, and work with jail staff to conduct in-jail visits where permitted.

The role includes overseeing grant implementation, ensuring compliance, and coordinating with the Executive Director of Workforce Development Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Social Science, Business Administration, Public Administration or 5 years of directly related experience in employment and training field.
• Knowledge and support of the University and Statewide Services mission and philosophy.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse population including university administration, faculty, staff, grant clientele and community partners.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Outstanding planning, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by both public transportation as well as private transportation including self-transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day implementation of the Pathway Home grant, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and program design.
• Execute the core program model, refining operations and driving continuous improvement throughout the program lifespan.
• Ensure compliance with all Pathway Home grant terms, including participant eligibility, service delivery, performance benchmarks, and documentation standards.
• Represent Region 8 in grant-related meetings, site visits, and audits, and foster strong communication among stakeholders.
• Manage participant documentation, enrollment files, and intake logistics.
• Provide one-on-one case management to incarcerated and recently released job seekers.
• Facilitate program intake, risk and needs assessments, and career evaluations.
• Develop and maintain IDPs linked to training, employment, and support services.
• Provide job readiness training (resume building, interview skills, digital literacy, etc.).
• Guide job seekers through job placement and post-release occupational training pathways.
• Follow up with job seekers for at least 12 months post-release to support stability and job retention.
• Connect job seekers with housing, legal aid, mental health, and substance abuse treatment services.
• Coordinate and train other identified career advisors to ensure effective recruitment, enrollment, and case management.
