Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with adults from diverse cultural backgrounds affected by the criminal punishment system.
• Preferred: relevant personal experience; training in NYCOMPAS and/or Motivational Interviewing.
• Excellent communication, writing and computer skills required.
• Valid NYS driver's license, access to a registered and insured vehicle, and transport of participants required.
• Occasional travel to out-of-town/state conferences and meetings; some evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach, recruitment, program eligibility assessment, orientation, intake and enrollment of participants.
• Represent the agency at outreach events, resource fairs and activities; some after-hours work.
• Maintain awareness of recruitment and enrollment goals; contribute to metrics.
• Complete assessments (recidivism risk, needs, work readiness) as part of intake.
• Make referrals to reentry resources; collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Participate in screening hours and invite candidates to orientations; provide transportation coaching.
