Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking a Project Rebound Program Director who reports to the Director of Equity and Access Programs to guide recruitment and success of formerly incarcerated students transitioning into higher education, while supervising staff and student personnel.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in educational or student support services, with at least one year of program management or coordination, including supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience building partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; familiarity with PeopleSoft and EAB Navigate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and guidance for recruitment and success of formerly incarcerated students transitioning into higher education, and supervise staff and student personnel.
• Support the development, planning, assessment and execution of programmatic and operational needs, including budget oversight and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate wraparound student support services and serve as a liaison with campus and community resources to advocate for participants.
• Ensure compliance with university and program policies and assist in managing program operations and personnel.
• Coordinate student services for academic and career success and contribute to program policy and outcomes.
